How do I know what my Boundaries are?
Nedra Glover Tawwab has a great definition of what a Boundary is. "They are the expectations and needs that help you feel safe and comfortable in a relationship." When you find your body responding with a stress response after an interaction with another person; meaning your heart rate increases, you feel anger or irritability building inside you or you find yourself withdrawing or shutting down. This is your clue that a boundary has been crossed.
